Residential Habilitation & Support (RHS)

Support That Feels Like Home

At First Generation Residential Living, we believe that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive in a safe, supportive, and familiar environment. Our Residential Habilitation and Support (RHS) services are designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible in their own homes or family settings—surrounded by the care they need and the dignity they deserve.

🌟 What is Residential Habilitation & Support?

RHS is a goal-based, person-centered service available through the Community Integration and Habilitation (CIH) Waiver. It is tailored to each person’s Person-Centered Individualized Support Plan (PCISP) and focuses on helping them acquire, retain, or improve the skills needed for successful community living.

🧩 What Does RHS Include?

Our services are flexible and individualized. We assist with:

  • Adaptive skill development
Building or improving skills such as dressing, grooming, budgeting, using appliances, and safety awareness.

  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Including personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, eating, medication management, and mobility support.

  • Community Inclusion
Helping individuals engage meaningfully in their communities—attending events, using public transportation, visiting local businesses, or joining recreational programs.

  • Transportation
Safe and timely transport to and from appointments, work, social outings, shopping, or spiritual services.

  • Educational and Leisure Activities
Support with adult learning opportunities, hobbies, and structured leisure activities to encourage independence and self-confidence.

  • Health & Wellness
Monitoring daily routines, assistance with health-related tasks, coordination of medical appointments, and support in maintaining prescribed diets or medication regimens.

⏰ Service Availability and Levels

We offer up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week of support, depending on the individual’s assessed needs and approved waiver budget. Services are available in two levels:

  • RH10 – Less than 35 hours per week

  • RH20 – More than 35 hours per week
