    Residential Habilitation & Support (RHS)

Around-the-Clock Care That Feels Like Home

Home is more than just a place—it’s where people feel safe, known, and supported. That’s the heart behind our Residential Habilitation & Support (RHS) services. We provide up to 24-hour in-home care and supervision to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live full, independent lives in the comfort of their own homes.

Whether someone needs gentle guidance with daily routines, help navigating community life, or just a friendly presence throughout the day, our team is there—ready to provide support with dignity, respect, and compassion.

RHS services are built around the Person-Centered Individualized Support Plan (PCISP) and may include:

    Personal care and hygiene support

Daily living skills like cooking, cleaning, and routines

    Medication reminders and health support

    Social and leisure engagement

    Community inclusion and safe transportation

    Encouragement, conversation, and companionship

Care can be provided by our skilled Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) or, in some cases, a qualified family member or foster caregiver—because we know that trust matters when it comes to care.

Why families and teams choose RHS with us:
✅ Reliable, 24/7 care options tailored to the individual
✅ Staff who treat your loved one like family
✅ Focus on skill-building, not just supervision
✅ A team approach that values the input of families and support networks

We don’t just fill shifts—we build routines, foster growth, and create a home where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered every day.

    Respite Care Services

Because Even Superheroes Need a Break

Caring for a loved one with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is one of the most rewarding jobs there is—but even the most dedicated caregivers deserve a chance to recharge. That’s where our Respite Care Services come in.

At First Generation Residential Living, we provide short-term, professional support for individuals with IDD so family caregivers can take a well-earned pause—whether it’s for a few hours to run errands, a weekend getaway, or just to sit in the car with a coffee and not be interrupted for once (we get it!).

Our respite care can be scheduled regularly or as needed, and services are available in:

    The individual’s home

    The caregiver’s home

A qualified community or day program setting

Other approved locations depending on the need

While you rest, we step in with trained staff who provide consistent, compassionate care, following the routines and support strategies your loved one is used to. Whether it's help with meals, personal care, companionship, or just a safe set of eyes and ears, we’re here to keep things running smoothly while you take a breath.

Why families trust our respite care:
✅ We honor your routines and your loved one’s needs
✅ We’re flexible, responsive, and ready when you need us
✅ We offer peace of mind—without the guilt trip

So go ahead—take that nap, see that movie, or just breathe. We’ve got your back (and theirs).
Because caregiving is a full-time job, and every hero needs a day off.

    Participant Assistance and Care (PAC)

Everyday Support That Promotes Independence at Home

Sometimes it’s the little things—like getting out of bed, fixing a meal, or making it to the front porch—that make the biggest difference. Our Participant Assistance and Care (PAC) services are designed to provide hands-on support with daily living activities, so individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) can stay safe, comfortable, and confident in their own homes.

PAC services are all about maintaining independence without overwhelming the individual or their caregivers. Whether someone needs help with mobility, reminders to take medication, or assistance preparing for the day, we’re there with consistent, respectful support.

    PAC may include:

Assistance with bathing, dressing, and hygiene

    Mobility and transfer support

Help with meals, light household tasks, and personal routines

Prompts, reminders, and monitoring for safety

Encouragement and companionship throughout the day

Services can be provided by a trained Direct Support Professional or, in some cases, a trusted family member—because we believe care works best when it feels familiar.

    Why families love PAC:
✅ Flexible, in-home support that fits daily routines
✅ Promotes dignity, safety, and self-reliance
✅ Builds confidence one small victory at a time

Whether it’s helping with morning routines or simply being there to offer a steady hand and a kind word, our PAC services make sure individuals thrive—one good day at a time.
